A Prefeitura de São José dos Campos investiu no ano passado em torno de R$ 20 milhões na execução de mais de 40 obras de infraestrutura e drenagem por toda a cidade, algumas delas construídas em caráter emergencial. Entre os serviços realizados, estão a contenção de taludes e a construção e manutenção de galerias de águas pluviais.
Na região sul, foram realizados serviços de contenção no talude da avenida Mário Covas, com aplicação de geocélulas e implantação de drenos sub-horizontais, e nas margens dos córregos Vidoca e Senhorinha (este teve um trecho canalizado com muro de gabião para dar maior vazão em épocas de muita chuva). Outra obra importante foi a recomposição do pavimento da ponte da avenida Lívio Veneziani sobre o Córrego Cambuí (sudeste).
As obras de galerias de águas pluviais beneficiaram vários bairros. Na avenida João Marson, na Vila Industrial (leste), a recuperação e troca da tubulação foi concluída rapidamente pela Urbam (Urbanizadora Municipal S.A.), com a liberação da via ao trânsito em 15 dias de trabalho.
A praça Bahia de São Salvador, no Vale do Sol (sul), recebeu um sistema de câmaras para retenção de água de chuva e controle da vazão do excedente. Para isso, foram construídos dois reservatórios no subsolo do poliesportivo.
No Jardim Minas Gerais (norte), a Prefeitura recuperou a travessia na Estrada do Jaguari sobre o Córrego Novo Destino e construiu uma escada hidráulica em gabião na rua Walter Luiz Pereira.
Manutenção
Outras obras de galerias de águas pluviais – reformas, trocas e ampliações – foram realizadas em todas as regiões. Os serviços incluíram a instalação e prolongamento de linha de tubulação em vários locais. Novas bocas de lobos foram criadas para melhorar o escoamento, além da construção e reconstrução de muros de gabião.
A Prefeitura executou um reservatório para retenção de água do Córrego Cambuí, no Jardim do Lago, com o objetivo de mitigar os alagamentos que atingem o bairro quando chove muito. Essa estrutura é indicada quando o sistema de drenagem em área urbana não é capacitado pelo volume de chuva que atinge em um determinado local, principalmente se estiver próximo de córregos e rios.
As obras de infraestrutura específicas de drenagem são necessárias para escoar as águas pluviais geradas pela impermeabilização do solo.
