Para dar início a vacinação contra a dengue, que começa na próxima segunda-feira (19), a Prefeitura de João Pessoa reuniu todos os profissionais que atuam nas salas de vacina a participarem do treinamento sobre a estratégia de vacinação determinada pelo município, meta e esquema de vacinação e informes sobre a normativa técnica. A qualificação foi realizada tarde desta sexta-feira (16), no auditório da Central de Imunobiológico (Rede de Frio).
Inicialmente, o imunizante é destinado às crianças e adolescentes na faixa etária entre 10 a 14 anos. O esquema vacinal recomendado corresponde a administração de duas doses, com intervalo de três meses entre as doses. Caso o usuário tenha contato com a doença antes da vacina é recomendado aguardar seis meses para o início do esquema vacinal com a vacina dengue (atenuada) e, se a infecção ocorrer após o início do esquema, não há alteração no intervalo entre D1 e D2, desde que a D2 não seja realizada com o período inferior a 30 dias do início da doença.
“Realizamos de forma regular essas capacitações para os profissionais que atuam nas salas de vacina do município, sobretudo, com a chegada desse novo imunizante e compreendendo que se trata de um público específico, temos o compromisso e a responsabilidade de iniciar mais um ciclo de capacitação, para esclarecer possíveis dúvidas e alinhar essa assistência de forma otimizada, eficiente e segura a toda a população que chega aos nossos serviços”, garantiu Fernando Virgolino, chefe da Seção de Imunização da Prefeitura de João Pessoa.
Dengue – A dengue é uma doença infecciosa febril aguda, transmitida pelo mosquito Aedes aegypti, que pode progredir para quadros graves e não existe, até o momento, um medicamento específico para tratamento. Dessa forma, o desenvolvimento de uma vacina segura e eficaz contra os quatro sorotipos virais da dengue (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3 e DENV-4) é um avanço no campo da imunização e se torna mais um passo necessário para ampliar as medidas integradas e efetivas para a prevenção e controle da doença.
Dados – De acordo com o Ministério da Saúde, o Brasil chegou à marca de 532.921 casos prováveis de dengue e 90 mortes pela doença desde janeiro deste ano. Outras 348 mortes estão sendo investigadas. Ainda de acordo com a Pasta, neste mesmo período em 2023 o país tinha um total de 128.842 casos de dengue. O número atual é 313,6% maior do que o do ano passado.
Já em João Pessoa, de acordo com o monitoramento e acompanhamento da Vigilância Epidemiológica, em 2023 foram 4.659 casos notificados de dengue e 4.154 confirmados de infecção pela doença. Nos dois primeiros meses de 2024 esse número representa 554 de casos notificados e 211 confirmados.
