Com a proximidade do período chuvoso, equipes da Secretaria de Obras de Cuiabá realizam limpeza em bueiros da região do Centro e do Centro Sul de Cuiabá ao longo desta semana.
Uma das ações foi coordenada pelo secretário de Obras e vice-prefeito José Roberto Stopa na manhã desta quinta-feira (9) na Rua João Bento, região do bairro Quilombo.
“Na última chuva nós tiramos de dentro da estação de tratamento mais de três toneladas de lixo que foi jogado ali na região da Prainha, centro de Cuiabá, então por favor vamos ajudar Cuiabá: é necessário que paremos de jogar lixo no chão”, afirmou Stopa.
A secretaria realizou o mapeamento dos pontos mais críticos e quatro equipes trabalham dedicadas unicamente à limpeza dos bueiros da capital.
“Com a chuva, começa a flutuar sacos de lixo pela avenida, esses sacos de lixo em contato com a boca de lobo interfere na vazão, interferindo na vazão terá inundação de ruas e avenidas em Cuiabá”, afirmou Stopa.
O secretário afirmou que a escolha pela área central foi feita por se tratar de um dos pontos mais críticos pelo volume de pessoas diariamente nas ruas e, com isso, o lixo lançado nas ruas irregularmente por muitos munícipes. Em muitos casos, mesmo após a limpeza, bueiros acabam sendo entupidos pelo lixo em 10 dias.
Ao todo, foram mapeados dez pontos críticos que devem ser solucionados até o final de novembro, de acordo com o secretário.
