Agência Minas Gerais | Unimontes abre inscrições para assistência estudantil a alunos de baixa renda

Estudantes de baixa renda da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (Unimontes) podem se inscrever, a partir desta quinta-feira (22/2), para o Programa Estadual de Assistência Estudantil  (Peaes) da universidade. A solicitação aos benefícios pode ser feita até 3/3, pelo link.

No primeiro semestre de 2024, os alunos da universidade que têm renda familiar per capita igual ou inferior a 1,5 salário mínimo terão direito a auxílio alimentação, auxílio moradia, auxílio transporte, auxílio creche, auxílio de apoio didático-pedagógico e auxílio de inclusão digital, conforme estabelecido pelo edital 01/2024.

O auxílio de inclusão digital é voltado para a aquisição de pacotes de dados, acesso à internet fixa ou, ainda, à aquisição de equipamentos como tablet, notebook ou desktop. O benefício será pago em até 12 parcelas mensais de R$ 250.

O pró-reitor de Extensão da Unimontes, professor Rogério Othon Teixeira Alves, ressaltou a importância dos auxílios para a permanência dos estudantes devidamente matriculados e frequentes nos cursos. “Os auxílios são instrumentos que ampliam as oportunidades dos estudantes e são fundamentais para que possam concluir a graduação”, afirmou.
